Painting is my passion, and through my artwork, I share a part of myself with the world. 
I’m a bit of a sentimentalist and it shows in my work.  I find myself drawn to the abandoned and neglected places and objects of yesterday.  In today’s fast paced, high tech world, we’ve left behind an incredible array of sturdy, well worn tools, gadgets, pieces of equipment, and mechanical gems.  These are the subjects for my paintings, and I enjoy the challenge they present. 
     To capture the beauty and soul of an old, inanimate object, scratches, dents, and worn edges are important.  In order to add depth and the perception of age, I incorporate several application processes, including the old masters technique of glazing, until the desired effect is achieved.  The process is time consuming but rewarding. 
     With each completed piece, I feel I am somehow contributing to recorded history……  For, though memories fade with time, on canvas, all is immortalized.
